Mission: The Idea Village is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation whose mission is to build a vibrant entrepreneurial community in New Orleans by providing focused strategy and resources to innovative ideas that create positive economic and social change.
Background: Founded in 1999 by local entrepreneurs, The Idea Village has become the primary driver for business innovation in New Orleans by developing strategic initiatives to support the growth of local entrepreneurial ventures. To achieve its mission, The Idea Village engages a talented network of over 500 individuals with generous support from private corporations, foundations, national universities, Greater New Orleans, Inc., the City of New Orleans, and the State of Louisiana.
The Idea Village Programs: Since 2002, The Idea Village has developed strategically integrated programs to drive business innovation in New Orleans, specifically, Village Ventures, IDEAcorps™, Business Innovation Centers and The Vanguard Council.
